Ashley (the Owner)

In 2017, I stepped into salon ownership of a hair salon, but what I quickly learned is that becoming an owner and truly building something were two very different things. It was a season of hard lessons and a lot of sacrifices — the kind that shapes you whether you’re ready or not. It taught me about boundaries, about leadership. I taught me the kind of culture I wanted to create and the kind I didn’t.
There came a moment when I knew that if I wanted to build something lasting, I needed a fresh start... So Ava Jordan Designs was started.
In 2018, our team worked out of a tiny two-station salon while our new space was being built. It wasn’t glamorous but it was powerful. It proved we weren’t just a location.
We were friendship.
We were loyalty.
We were a team.
In September 2018, we quietly opened the doors to our current home. In October, we celebrated our grand opening and we’ve been growing ever since. From the very beginning, this salon was built on legacy. We wanted to create something strong, stable, and meaningful.
Today, we stand on a foundation of resilience, trust, continued growth, and women supporting one another. In an industry known for turnover, several of our stylists have been here since the very beginning. That is something that means more to me than I can put into words.
We weren’t built overnight.
We were built through lessons, loyalty, and not giving up.
And we’re still evolving.
